'On 5 April, US Major Christopher Varhola, a US cultural anthropologist attached to the military, gave a formal press briefing in Kuwait. He said: “Another concern is the looting, especially in the absence of law of and order and the economic uncertainty that is inherent to any military operation of this magnitude.
