Turkish Parliament Rejects Motion to Open Bases to U.S. Troops (washingtonpost.com)
'Fehmi Koru, a political analyst who writes a column for the Yeni Safak newspaper, predicted that the government would not risk submitting the resolution for another vote, in part because so many members of the cabinet had opposed the U.S. deployment. Though the party leadership failed by only three votes, "if they tried again, and they get the same outcome, it would mean the end of this government for sure," he said."They've already seen almost half the parliament vote no."'

Its amazing, another big wheel has just fallen off the 'bandwagon of evil.' As if Germany, France, Russia, Nato, Europe, the United Nations wasnt enough. By the time the Bush gang have finished their brutal drive to war they will have butchered every last alliance and friendship the United States ever had. Gasoline is to the Bush gang what lebensraum was to the Nazi party. The unscrupulous pursuit of it will leave them virtually against the entire world, an unwinnable prospect.
